The development at 31-39 Millharbour consists of in excess of 500 residential units over 22 storeys. The site is located adjacent to Millwall Dock in London’s Docklands.
The building is arranged in a u-shape around a ground floor landscaped deck.
There is a single storey basement with parking for over 250 cars, provided by a combination of traditional car parking spaces and mechanical stackers.
The building is general constructed of insitu reinforced concrete flat slabs supported on RC columns and stablised on RC columns and stablised by core walls.
The basement is formed with secant pile walls designed to take account of the presence of the historic dock wall.
Walsh Associates worked closely with the architects in order to minimise transfer structure on the cascading wings of the building.
